How Missouri jobs actually run
Utility territory matters here more than most owners expect: Ameren Missouri, Evergy, Empire District each have their own disconnect and metering process, and the sequence of who de-energizes what is usually the longest lead item on the schedule.
Freight is the other half. We route Missouri work along I-70, I-44, I-55 and I-35, which is what keeps trailer and crew cost predictable on a quote instead of padded.
Missouri gives us two metros pulling in opposite directions across the state, and I-70 between them is a route our trucks already run. St. Louis brings automotive assembly, aerospace, the chemical corridor along the river and a stock of older industrial buildings whose electrical scopes come out during conversion. Kansas City brings distribution, food processing and rail. In between, the lead and zinc operations in the southeast and the Springfield-area manufacturers run heavy switchgear. Ameren Missouri and Evergy both retire distribution equipment continuously, and the river barge terminals at St. Louis and Kansas City make Missouri a practical consolidation point for lots coming out of neighbouring states.

Missouri questions
When do we get paid?
Before the equipment leaves your Missouri dock. Wire, company check or cashier's check, whichever your accounting group prefers. On large phased projects we pay per load as it ships rather than holding everything until the end.
What if the equipment is old or has no test records?
We still quote it. Records raise the number — a NETA test report on a breaker or a transformer is the single document that most improves what we can pay — but their absence disqualifies nothing. We price Missouri equipment on what our technicians and the replacement market say it is worth.
Are you insured to work inside our Missouri facility?
Yes. We carry general liability, auto, workers' compensation and umbrella coverage, and we issue a certificate naming your entity as additional insured before crews mobilize to Missouri. We also complete vendor onboarding, background checks and site-specific safety orientation on request.
Can you work nights, weekends or during a shutdown in Missouri?
Regularly. Most electrical removals happen outside production hours because that is when circuits can be released. Night, weekend, holiday and turnaround windows in Missouri are normal scheduling for us, not a premium service.
What happens to the equipment after you buy it?
Serviceable gear is tested, reconditioned where needed and resold as replacement equipment — that resale is what funds your offer. What cannot go back into service is dismantled for copper, aluminum and steel recovery through permitted processors, with regulated fractions documented.
