Specification

Bus Duct & Busway: the specification

What we take

Straight lengths of plug-in and feeder busway, flanged-end and cable-tap boxes, elbows, offsets, tees and crosses, expansion fittings, reducers, hangers and the bus plugs that ride on the run. Copper bus is worth more than aluminum but we buy both. Runs still hanging in the ceiling are our normal condition.

What sets the number

Conductor metal, ampacity, system style and length of clean straight sections. Long straight copper runs of a currently supported style are the top of the market. Short odd sections, damaged housings and aluminum bus price nearer to recovered metal value. Photos of the nameplate on any single section tell us the system and let us quote fast.

How we get it out

Busway removal is overhead work on lifts. We de-energize with your electrician, drop the run in manageable sections, protect the sections that are worth reselling intact, and haul everything out. Our crews, our lifts, our insurance.
